Throughout the school year other miscellaneous fees may be incurred. For example, overnight class trips (5th grade through 8th grade), special outings, 8th grade graduation, etc. These will be priced when the event is scheduled and homeroom teachers will usually be a parent’s main point of contact for these costs and payments. Special payment terms are often offered to make each opportunity available to all students.
Woodland Country Day School provides two payment plan options.
Payment Plan A – Payments made directly to Woodland
(1) May 15, 2016: 10% of the Annual Tuition (less deposit)
(2) July 1, 2016: 60% of the Annual Tuition
(3) December 1, 2016: 30% remaining of the Annual Tuition
Payment Plan B – Payments made through Tuition Management Systems
To help our families better manage their students’ education expenses, Woodland Country Day School offers Payment Plan B that allow families to spread their students’ education expenses over smaller monthly installments paid over the course of the school year. There are three options available:
(1) April 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017, 12 equal monthly payments
(2) May 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017, 11 equal monthly payments
(3) June 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017, 10 equal monthly payments
Our monthly payment plans are administered for Woodland by Tuition Management Systems (TMS). These monthly payment options are popular with many of our families because they provide them with greater flexibility and control over their savings. There is a nominal $55 enrollment fee to join Tuition Management Systems. Also, if a family decides to use Payment Plan B after June 2016, a lump sum payment may have to be made to TMS to bring the account current with the selected monthly payment terms.
Woodland’s 2016 - 2017 tuition is to be paid in full (under both payment plans A & B), no later than March 2017. Admissions during the school year are prorated.
Financial aid from Woodland consists of a grant which is determined by the financial needs of the family. Because the present resources of the school are limited, grants will be made for no more than 50% of tuition for each child except in those unique instances that warrant aid in excess of 50% tuition. Tuition assistance grants are renewed annually based on the continuing needs of the family. Students who receive tuition assistance must remain in good academic standing and demonstrate good citizenship. All financial aid grants are determined by the Tuition Assistance Committee of the Board of Trustees.
How To Apply For Tuition Assistance
Families seeking tuition assistance should let the school know as soon as possible. In order for the school to distribute grants equally, all families must complete the information requested by FAST, our independent financial aid processor, on an annual basis. It is strongly suggested that parents begin the application process for financial aid early in the calendar year. The grants are awarded in the spring for the upcoming academic year. All financial records, requests and awards are kept in the strictest confidence by FAST and the Tuition Assistance Committee of Woodland Country Day School.
